Enhancement: Pan / Zoom Multiple Paths

For those of you who have used the Pan / Zoom Effect in the Cinematic Effects Collection, and more specifically, those of you who have attempted to use the Multiple Path property, an enhancement in version 8.0 will be of interest to you.

The Multiple Path property in version 7 is a text field that lets you enter some terse commands identifying a path for the Pan / Zoom to take. It is an optional property, but useful if you need a higher level of precision in a pan/zoom path. The problem with it, however, is that its not a user-friendly property.

In version 8, this property has been replaced. It no longer exists. In its place are now several other properties with clearly defined purposes. These properties are Start Point, Midpoint 1, Midpoint 2, and End Point. Each of these properties can have specific horizontal, vertical, and zoom settings or can be set to automatic. The midpoints can also be disabled if you don't need the extra paths.

Here is what the properties look like in version 7:

And here is what they look like in version 8:

This is clearer to use, but at the expense of some flexibility. It provides for, at most, three paths. However, three paths is probably sufficient for practical use.

In all, these changes should make it easier to manually set multiple paths for the Pan / Zoom effect.

If you did want more than three points, could you add in multiple instances, with additional effects starting where the last one left off?

There is a lot to dislike about the vs. 7 pan/zoom, but (sorry) I think this isn't a good change -- too cumbersome without much benefit
and significant lost of functionality. All that was needed to be done was to make the pull-down of "Multiple Path:" actually work. Presently
the pull-down arrow does nothing and the editing window scrolls in an inane manner. I don't see how multiple paths, each with separate
durations and zooms will be possible. My opinion, which doesn't count for much I'm sure, is: fixing the pull-down would be ten times as
beneficial as the new concept. By-the-way, I use this feature at least one time every week, so I am fairly familiar with it.

this looks great to me. I occasionally do a zoom in or out in my welcome slide. I pick a key item from the picture to zoom to or from. Each time I have done this, I have figured out the settings by trial an error and have never been able to recall how they work from one time to the next.
